Subfloor/subfloor structure defaults for decks

Hi all,

My first post, and I hope the answer to my query has not been staring at me in the face.

When I go to the structure tab of the dbx of a new Deck, the Subfloor thickness displays as '37 (D)' and the subfloor structure displays as '187 (D)', which are not the same as the values set up in Defaults, Floor Defaults. 'Normal' rooms seem to inherit these defaults, but not Decks.

I am assuming that there is a default setting for Decks somewhere, but I can't find it. I've checked the manual, training video's, etc to no avail.

So the question is: Where is the default dialog for Deck floor structures (if it exists)? or are they 'hardcoded' into the program?. They are weird numbers, even for us metric users here in Australia.

That's wierd.I just checked.Mine comes up at 11 1/2d 71 1/2d
Inches.The house is right and cross section view is to.No idea.

Thanks for the reply Allen, looks like Deck structure defaults are non-editable. Will just keep changing them under the structure tab of the Room Specification dbx after I create the deck.

I think this might be a bug,it used to show correct.

Sorry if I wasn't clear on the metric numbers...they're in millimetres. So the the conversion to inches is: Deck Platform 37mm = 1 7/16'', Deck Joist 187mm = 7 3/8".

I just reread your first post You were looking for deck defaults..Dont think there are any,just have to change it in the room dbx.
I think metric is easier if your used to it,but I'll stick with ft.+inches.
