The only way I got it to work was to use Photobucket as per Lew's suggestion.

I don't want to mess with photobucket, and I like being able to have pictures here. It is one of the huge advantages of this forum. Phrasing it as nicely as I can - this new SW makes it way to hard to do attachments. I think its broken.
By the way, have you noticed that there are few if any Chief folks on here? They used to be here in a few posts a day. Where have they gone?

Yea Fitch, it's definitly got a few screws loose. You know a while back you always had to post a picture like we're doing it now. They sure made it easier for a while. Maybe all the pictures being posted wound up using too much bandwidth?? They might be on vacation again.

I too, would like the pics to be posted here, but since we can't for now, Photobucket seems to be the only way to go until they fix this mess.
Somebody really dropped the ball on this one

Tim, I tried all those steps again. In fact, I took all those steps on every attempt from the first one and those steps do not work for me. Maybe I'm in the wrong time zone. But notwithstanding, the smilies work here as well.

the attachment tool works well...as it allows you to post multiple images in a single post, something that was not possible before w/o using a different site...
and even more steps
this is how i attached these two gifs to this site
the attachment tool opens a popup where you can add as many images as you want..
Attachment 4268
then attach them to your posts as desired, here i added the text between the attachments.
I split the gif in two sections as a single gif exceeded the upload limit, so part one is on top and part two is below

Tried it again... doesn't work. The wizard ends prematurely.

OK, - Now I'm convinced more than ever that Tim has a secret password to Chief and Chieftalk that us mere Braves do not have. I am not persuaded that dial-up is the advantage.

I have not been able to post an image yet with any browser here...
I do it all the time in a different forum that uses the same software.
Thats cool that you can add text between pictures! How did you do that?
I have also noticed that the sillies work some days and not others... ???
Today they don't work... I just get missing object ? icons.Brian Dodds

I've heard good things about Firefox, but I use IE6 because I also build my own website, and I want to be able to make sure my website will work properly for the majority of users... who also use IE. If the majority of webmasters do as I do, then most websites should also work properly if I use IE, provided they are programmed properly.

Tim,
I've got Mozilla 1.7.12 also and unable to attach images. It's got to be a setting somewhere, or CA has enabled it to work in your profile. I also have a list of smilies, but not their picture. Maybe a clue that I have a setting wrong?Cliff
