David ,Thank you.
Not to many things that can not be done in CA.
On the cheek walls(walls sitting on roof)I used the cross section camera, dragged to what I wanted. It works, but is this the best way?

Allen:
Very nice.
I assume the existing roof shingles were cut-away for illustrative purposes ? Cause in real life the addition roof would just sit on top of the existing roof.
My partner does the roofs and he is out of town on his day job for a few weeks, so we will play with all this when he gets back.
Would you be able to summarize which steps Chief can handle and which steps are done manually ?
thanks

Yes I used the polyline because it could be turned on the angle, and draged/streched in place.
Dont realy remember how I did it all.Tryed a few ways.
Some of the shingles have to be cut for step flashing in real life.
Lew,is your partner are this forum to?

Hi cliff, see what happened to the roof, chief flatened out the upper two ft of 6-12 pitch to the shed roof pitch. I done this automatic, something screwed up I think.

Thanks David. Looks like it may have something to do with the upper/lower pitch setting in the wall dbx.

Allen:
No, he's not a forum person. I send him clips or links of interesting stuff and he only gets on to read those.
Just not his "thing". May change when he gets broadband, but I doubt it.

Tim
I just understood what you said about retain wall framing, that would be great if it worked with all framing.
David
It's building like a gambrel, set top pitch to same as the bottom.
