pesky no locate attic walls V 9.5

I keep having my attic walls revert to "no locate" I have selected attic walls and retain attic walls. It keeps coming back as "no locate" on the attic walls whenever I have to rebuild wall/ceilings.

I have seen this many times and the only answer is to select retain attic walls and it doesn't stop the default. Any help out there. I am using Version 9.54
