Roof with odd angles
I'm trying to connect the slanted roof section to the flat roof part with a 1 foot "boarder" to fill in the gap. It seems that I cant change the elevation of just 1 corner to make the right slant to it. See the red line for what I want. Could someone please explain an easy way to draw a roof like this?
After I fix the roof I plan to add a dome for a telescope to the center of the flat part. Is there any easy way of adding a hole for this?
THanks for any replies.

How about attic walls?

Is that like a foundation wall? I can't seem to find it under the wall section.

Be sure your roof planes are referenced. Go to the attic level and place walls there. Assign materials to whatever you want in wall dbx. I used siding walls. Rebuild walls and ceilings.

How about putting some temporary exterior walls under where the big roof is, checking "No Roof" over the flat area, specify the higher pitch on those 2 temporary walls, then manually draw the flat roof after the rest is done?

That worked out great!. I have another question though. It draws a gutter on the 2 inside edges if you look on the top picture. Is there a way to delete those 2 gutters? Thanks

I used the attic wall as you suggested and removed the 1 foot gap so the flat roof sits against the attic wall. When I use glass house view I notice it still makes a gutter inside the attic though. Is it an alignment thing?

In plan view, click on the roof plane. Open it. In options tab, uncheck gutter.
Tommy
Sorry, in roof plane dbx, uncheck gutter.

When I do that it removes the outside gutter also. Is there a way to just remove the inside one? Or is there a way I can draw the gutter manually? Thanks

I have gutter symbols I got from Jay Palmer. Let me see if I can find any free ones. What version are you using? I don't think the library has any but I'll look.

I'm using 10.04. I think I found a way to get it done though with a split roof. The inside one has no gutter and the outside has one.
Thanks a bunch for all the help!
