Need to draw a 24x24 floor showing framing. Can do but need to show a detail on stairhole to be framed. how is best to do this. Thanks Dennis

Dennis,

Are you wanting to show framing for a hole in the ceiling for attic stairs? If so, then use the platform tool to put the hole in the ceiling and then build framing. It will frame the hole. You can edit framing members if desired.

Go to the basement to do this. The basement ceiling should be the 1st floor, floor, just as the 1st floor ceiling is the floor for the 2nd floor. I don't really do basements but the theory is the same I suppose.
