Easier undo for multiple obj creation?

I'm trying to get a bunch of choir chairs to follow a concave line - a sort of trial and error "see how it looks" use of multiple copy with polar coordinates. What is driving me nuts is I do a multiple copy of 20 chairs, it's not quite right, so I Undo, but I have to Undo once for every single chair, meaning 20 undos. The command is a single event, so why should the undo be a multiple event?

    Any ideas?

    Thanks,
    Christina

Do a save first, then throw that version away and try again.

Oy, I feel THAT pain. Happens always. I don't think you can get around it other than following Lew's advice.

My thinking is ... each of the 20 copies are single comand s. so u have to undo 20 times..
my suggestions is multiple copy the copies then delete.

    just my thought..

Maybe I used the wrong term as it was late at night... I used the Transform/Replicate Object command where you just type the number of copies in the dbx. I'm not sure what you mean by multiple copy the copies...?

Think of it this way. when u use the replicate comand. Chief (or any other Cad program) would do one copy of the object, then another one. then another one till it counts it has done whatever the total number u asked it to.
This means it is not one copy of 10 objects, it is 1 copy of 1 object done 10 times, therefore there are 10 moved insteead of one.

When i say multiple copy of the copies, you select one, then hold down control then select the other as required.

    Thanks
    Frank.
