    Large Shower

I am considering buying Chief and I do alot of custom stuff. I'm trying to get feel for what it can and cannot do? Can you render a tiled shower that is 5'X 6'

    Thanks

    Louis,

I made this image of a 5' x 6'shower in a few minutes using only "out of the box" Chief Architect Version 7 and Paint Shop Pro (PSP was used only to crop and convert the image to a .jpg):

    Thanks David. That looks great!

Since you showed some glss block in the shower that brings up another question. I have another job where we will have a curved glass block wall in a bath. Can that be done in Chief?

Can you type in wall dimensions? Can you enter them in inches or feet and inches or both?

Can you enter an angle and Chief will draw a wall at that angle?

    Louis,

Once you have applied yourself and really learned Chief's easy to use tools you can portray anthing you like in 2-D and almost anything in 3-D.
But "Chief" doesn't "do" anything at all by itself, the end-user must learn how to make it produce his products. It is a wonderful tool in the hands of a person that knows how to use it. ART Inc. makes available well produced tutorial videos, a very well written User Manual (paper, on your computer and automated "Help" files) and there are two on-line forums of top notch Chief Users that offer each other instant Tech Support and information sharing.
Download or order the free Version 7 Demo and try it for yourself!

Oh yeah, the answer to your questions above is "yes".

    David:
What tools did you use to make the surround and glass block in that rendering? It looks great.

    Thanks,

    Hi John,

The surrounds and glass block were poly-line, extruded CAD boxes with a material assignment. The shower is 1" thick walls containing windows and door that have no trim and their frames have been set at 1/8" thickness. I also used the "Delete 3-D Surfaces" tool in render view to reduce the aparent thickness of the window and door frames of the shower.

Oh yeah, the shower walls were reduced to 84" high by direct manipulation of the wall poly-lines using the "Cross-Section" camera tool.
