Truss Labels
I know this has been brought up before, but is there a way to turn off the truss label function? Seems like there used to be a button on the truss framing dbx, but it isn't there anymore, or I don't know where to look. It's not enough to turn off the layer - I want to not have the trusses labeled at all. The truss engineer has his own system, so unless you could edit the truss label text to have it correspond with the engineer's tag, the labels are just a nuisance. Even when the layer is off the label still allows itself to be selected when you are trying to pick the truss itself, and it doesn't respond to "next".

No way I know of Viki. You get the honors of filing a bug report if you have time. If not let me know and I will. Nothing should be able to be selected with the layer turned off and I see this is not working correctly, because you can select the label.

Tim,
I turned my Layer off, locked it, and am still able to select. Maybe I'm missing a step.
Viki,
You may want to look at this thread.

I can not select truss labels if they are locked...turning their display off does not lock them you need to do that in the lock column

Tim,
?? I think my settings are matching yours. Would be embarrassing if not. I couldn't show the label selected while the dbx was open so had to display in 2 pictures. But I am still able to select. I really don't use trusses, so it's not a factor to me. Only trying to verify what Viki was seeing. Thanks for all of your help and I certainly don't question you, but I do question my self. Sometimes it's hard to see the obvious. Thanks[IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG]Cliff

Thank you Louis and for your help as well. If we don't hear back from Viki, I'll file a report. Thanks again
