    Write a Report

Do I need to write a report if I fix a plan posted on Chiefportal? I fixed one.

Did the person post a thread about it somewhere? Probably best to put a little bit of info in that thread. Obviously depending on the time you have you can put as little info or as much as you want. We all know you are a great teacher Louis, so any info and hints you can give on how you fixed a plan would be great for all.

    Greg,

No, in this case I don't think he posted. I did send him a full report so I will leave it up to him to post if he wants.

    Sounds good. Thanks Louis.

By the way, have you added your link to the site? The site is getting tons of traffic, will help your search engine rankings at the very least.

It don't think it said anything. It just didn't work. This is the second time I have tried to post something at your site. No luck.

    Louis:

I put a link to your tutorials on the portal some time ago in the link section, as for posting files to the download section they need to be zipped. If you did that then I'm not sure what they problem could be unless the file was larger than 50MB ?

    Lew,

I was not placing a file. I was putting a more informative link. Like I said this is the second time I have tried this and it has not worked either time.

    Louis:

I just posted a link to Tommy's River - With Moving Water and once I "published/approved" it, it's now there on the portal.

I checked and everything else was "published/approved".

Could you describe how you are trying to post the link ?

Is there a published/approved button? If there is supposed to be I never see that.

The published/approved button is something Lewis or I have to do in order to publish or approve each link. We don't allow much to automatically be uploaded because of issues with users putting inappropriate links and such.

So which button is pushed to upload a link? I have tried several. This is the problem with the way you have it set up. It should be clear how it works.

I just went through and added one of my other companies "BudgetReseller". Here are the steps I used.

    1) Login to ChiefPortal.com with your username/password
    2) In your user menu on the left towards the bottom click the Submit WebLink option.
    3) Input the information you would like, select the catergory.
    4) Click the Disk in the top right of the window to submit the link.
    5) Wait for admin to approve it, and/or message us to let us know its there so we get to it sooner.

Louis, can you try that, and let me know where the problem occurs?

Are you talking about the disk that looks like a floppy. This is the upload link button?
