    The line doesn't go away!!

I'm detailing a cross section on a home plan. I have created a roof plane for a carport roof, the rafter depth doesn't display to what it should. When I try to erase the bottom line it won't go away. Does a roof default to 6" thick when there's no room below? I have been solving this problem by placing a solid white polyling box to cover-up these pesky lines. There's got to be a better way!?!?

If you are using Ver 10. Go to the layer DBX and unlock the Cross Section layer.

Or better yet, lines on the same plane merge into one, so you only have to select one line to erase it.
