Catwalks,balconies,floor openings ???

I have found a lot of very helpful info from all the members.

Can anybody help me with my problem.

I have done a number of plans with chief and have been around since the old 3D Architect.

How do I do partial second floor catwalks and bridges over open areas?

Can I do it in a way that I can get some auto floor joists or do I have to do everything manually?

The project is a large night club divided in half by a hug 2 story sliding door.

THe bridge across has to have gluelams or beams the can support it from the sound room to the far balcony.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Also had a trouble creating huge sliding door. It is even bigger than I have shown.

What is the best way to get these large open areas with flat roofs

and build partial second floors in some area?

Could you make a second floor from the first and divide it up with invisible walls for the balcony and open below for the rest? As far as the framing I would do this manually.

You will need to make a second floor if you want to make balconies up above. The area that is not balcony should be defined as room type "open below" on the second floor. Play with floor and ceiling heights to make it the way you want it.

Beams will probably have to be manually added, as rgwhite said.

Still had to change some the direction of some of the auto joisting and do some manual framing.

Still having trouble doing the elevated bridge and balcony with balloon framing.

Any suggestions?

You want ballon framing? As in the studs go from the floor to the roof or about 20'.
Then keep the second floor balcony away from the outside walls. This should work.
