    Harry,

recessed lights over the cabinets will really help bring out the grain and add a richness to the render. You can even tilt the light a bit (-75) to get more light on the panel.

North American Cherry is a very interesting wood in that geographic regions can play amajor role in the color. Attached is a kitchen remodel I am doing rendered. The color of the cabinets is cherry from Pennsylvania with tung oil and polyurethane finish. The below photo is cherry with theexact same finish, but the cherry came from Northern Wisconsin and Michigan. Now Chief is doing its own thing with the import of the color and texture, but you can see that reality and render views are definitely different.

I am currently making the cabinets that are shown in the render view so will have a true before and after set of photos to show in about a year. It will be really interesting to see how close I was able to get with the color. I took over 50 pictures of various cherry that I had finished in order to get "just the right" natural color. And as the real kitchen shows, even the color I chose may not be 100% right.

I can't tell for sure, but I think the cans are too close to the wall. I think, when it is actually built, you will want the cans out over the counter top instead of over the top of the wall cabinets.

You will also want a can over the sink when its built.

    Harry,

I have a better cherry texture than the one you are using. I scanned it from a piece of real cherry and it has a nice warm look with lights on it. As soon as I find it I will attach it to this thread.

    Harry,

Change the fridge to a top or bottom freezer model. Currently the with the side by side pictured the homeowner will always have to reach around the door to get to the counter. Or you could move the fridge you have to the right side.

I've seen even nearly the best make that mistake.
