    Kitchen sinks

Has anyone noticed that the sinks in CA's library aren't cutting the holes large enough in the cabinets? These are 48" bases with 32" sinks.

    Using 10.06a.

You're right Tommy. Adjust the hole in the cad block and then it will work right.

I only use that sink about 1/3 of the time. I've seen that before and wondered what it was. Thanks for solving the mystery.

I have reported this bug and have requested a fix on an update. Louis, are you talking about doing it the same way as was with the Kohler sinks? I never got that right.

Thank you Louis. For now, I'm going to try a different sink.

Here is a render I'm doing for the lady. She wants to open up the wall in the kitchen like I've shown. I was going to show a view from inside the kitchen looking out. It's a small kitchen so you will see the sink fairly close.

I made the fireplace screen real quick so it's not the greatest. I thought CA had one like that but I guess not.

    Tommy:

    Very nice render.

As a side note, the TV may not work well there due to the wires, especially if they want to use home theater 5.1 speakers. My girlfriend hates wires, so I have had to deal with this when helping her setup her Bose etc. Putting the TV in the corner on top of that cabinet would allow for "hiding" the wires.

    Just a thought.

I agree Lew. That is where she has the tv. It's a small tv. When I show possible clients a look at what the change looks like, I try to duplicate what they have as close as possible. She is wanting to put a larger opening in the wall and wanted to see what it would look like if she had open ended cabinets above the the kitchen cabinets. Right now she has a 24" furr-down above the kitchen cabinets.

the countertop hole in that symbol is too small...it can be resized and the symbol saved to your own library with the corrected block very easily...

Thanks Tim. I'm a little slow at this stuff so I saved the .gif so I can view each image one at a time. You ran it way too fast for me.

Did that opening used to be a door?

I don't believe so if you're asking about the opening to the kitchen. There is currently a 24" furr-down above the opening in the wall and above the other kitchen upper cabinets. There is a/c ductwork in the upper half where the wall opening is located. We are going to take the lower half out and make the opening higher as well as wider. she wants to try and make the kitchen look bigger. The kitchen is only 8'x12'. I'm also doing a new render with extending the upper kitchen cabinets higher instead of having open cabinets at the top. Would be more benificial.
