Cladding Above & Below Windows II

I am still experimenting!
Have a gable end B.V. house with a separate cladded wall positioned where I want to place a window. Used the break wall tool including attic space. Works very good in 3d but a lock wall option would make me feel more comfortable with this method.
Anyway, tried to place a pair of windows side by side and tried to expand them to take up the whole width of the cladded section of wall. No luck so far. Chief seems to not only want it's minimum 100mm length of wall, it wants 175mm on either side of these windows.
I want Chief to let me have a 1mm long wall - that's a feature request.....I think. But in the mean time, does anybody have any tricks up their sleeves?
