truss line types in layout

Hi all...this one has me stumped.
V7.01 (3/23 patch)
I draw a roof framing plan with the roof truss layer as dark blue and solid linetype. I send to layout page, there it is, no problem. I select the view, show items, and make sure the layers are set the way I want them. Then I go back to work on the floor plan and change layer sets to show different things. When I go back to the layout page, the linetypes and colors have magically changed back to the default colors and linetypes.
Any clues or might this be a bug?
