TERRAIN MODELING

When I choose clipping option intending the terrain to not come into buidling areas the "green slime" still manages to ooze into patios, even if I define the space as say a kitchen.

I want to create a below grade patio with a retaining wall (railing} and have the terrain backfill the wall but not spillover into the patio.

Any thoughts on "green slime" control?
