Exterior doors and windows can be auto-dimensioned provided you set up for that via the "Dimension Dialogue Box" interior doors and "windows" or wall openings shoould be manually dimensioned. Once dimensioned you should be able to manually assign certain dims. to another layer (not sure about this but I think so). Read the manual "Chapter #26 on Dimensions" also.

    Alan,

    Try this:
Double click your window icon to open the Window default dbx and set the
    Def. Level to 0

you will need to change all your windows to the 0 level so they will be
dimensioned to...... as they were apparently placed after this setting was
changed (the doors stay on level 0, that's why the windows dimension but not the doors)

I would also check your profile plan to make sure this has not been changed
there, if it has you will need to change it and resave the profile so you do
not have this as a recurring problem...

thank you...the problem is now fixed...i did not think to check the windows to solve the door labeling problem...i notice in the manual it states the clue is: if the windows are gray, then they are not in the 0 level...an easy give-away...
