floor/clg. ht changes

When I want to change a floor ht, for a patio for instance, and select the room, enter the negative floor ht, hit tab, it always reverts back to the default. I have needed to go back and change my default settings each time I need to change a floor or ceiling elevation. I have used Chief for quite a while now and never had this problem until I began using this new version 7.0.
Is there some new trick I'm missing?

Whenever you make entries in a box that contains the (D) indicating that it is the default value for that box, you must be sure that you swipe or erase this (D) when changing the values. Otherwise the value will jump right back to the default value. Get in the habit of swiping all the data in any box before making changes, and you will be able to avoid the problem you are experiencing.
