Why?
Hi All,
Can anyone help me with why my interior walls are running through the exterior walls and dont snap to the inside? Its the little things like this that drive me nuts, ya think youve got this program figured out and BAM!! it goes and throws something new at ya.
Also when I auto dimension it is going to the outside of the sidewall and not to the main layer, I want it to be on the main layer.
If this pic is huge please excuse me Im not sure how to resize it.
Thanks in advance,
Bob

Check to see what is checked as your main layer for exterior walls. If the outside material is, then that will make the interior walls extend to the outside.
Hope that helps

you have the wall type definition set so the main layer is not your framing layer, but the outer layer

Apologies for not helping to solve your problem Bob but WHY don't you title your thread in a way that will help others understand your question and for future searches?

LOL simple enough huh, I made some wall changes for an addtion I am doing (to show difference between new and existing) and did not even notice I made that mistake.
Thanks for your quick response Tim and David, its very much appreciated .
Larry my thinking for the title was to get someones attention in this case (I am in a time jam at the moment). You are correct in your comment thoughLast edited by BFog; 07-28-2005 at 09:00 AM.

How did you get the colors you're using? Is that a Chief setting or Windows?
