Sorry, I don't know of any way to do that. I don't have a suggestion for the door, but I do know you can make the sidelights manually placing a window with the frame size altered. I do it all the time.

For the door, it's time consuming, but you can use the "Delete View Surface" tool to remove unwanted items on the original door...export the 3D model and create a new door symbol.

I tried it and this is as far as I could get. I then went to File....Export....3D Model. I exported it as a dwg and then as a dxf. I am not sure how to make it a new door symbol. Could you please explain the next step to me. Sorry for being such a pain, I do appreciate all of the help I have gotten so far.
I am using chief 10.04a

No pain at all. I've gotten lots of help here. My problem is trying to explain correctly. After you have exported the 3D Model (DWG,DXF), then use the "Create Symbol" button, enter next, choose Door as the type symbol you want to create...Browse to the folder where you saved the DWG file and select it. I checked "Make Faces Double Sided" and set the Surface Smoothing Angle at 25. Fill in the appropriate areas and add to the Library. May take a little experimenting, but if you have any questions please ask.

if you want to edit an existing door like that, I would draw a single default wall(this has fewer faces to delete)
place the door, suppress casing(fewer faces)....
then delete the surfaces you don't want/need down to something like this:Last edited by Tim O'Donnell; 02-02-2008 at 06:20 AM.

then export the 3d dwg and bring it back in through the symbol creator as a custom door...since I did the delete to illustrate, I have attached a zip of the dwg below that is ready to be made into a symbol
here is another option to make custom doors & windows

Thanks again for all of the help. It makes sense now. I have learned so much from this group. I hope that in time I can also help others.
