    Material Problems in renderview

When I change the material spec with the rainbow tool, in this case I'm rotating the material pattern 90 degrees, the render view doesn't change though the vector view does.

No matter if I refresh, close and regenerate, close the file and reopen, render view still doesn't render right, though vector does.

    Whats Up!

Also, when I Adjust the material spec on one surface, it adjusts it globally on all surfaces in the model. Do I have to create a whole new material in the library just to rotate on one surface but not others?

    ta,

You have to rotate the texture also, not just the pattern. And yes you have to create a seperate material to have a different orientation.
    i.e. vertical vs horizontal.

You have separate control over the patterns that appear in vector views and the textures that appear in rendered views. If you want to change the texture, you must rotate the texture.

When you change a material with the "rainbow" tool you are modifying the definition of that particular material for that particular plan. Every object that is currently using that material will also be modified.

I would highly encourage you to review either the manual or the training videos because much of this general information is covered.
