    Text Copy / Paste

    Hi all........back again...I am having trouble with wanting to copy text from one layout drawing and pasting it into another new drawing layout.......is there a way to export the text to the new drawing or to paste it in.....???? thanks again POP

    Yes!
    Open the layout you need, select the text and open it, highlight it, copy it, and open your word processor. Paste it in it, save it to your preferred folder and give it a name.
    close your layout and open the one you need the text on, open the text file you saved before, highlight it, copy it and in your layout select the text tool tools and click where you need the text at, the text window will open and paste inside that window your new text.
    Some prefer saving the text as blocks but I find that not adequate for my work since text varies from plan to plan.

    shift select the text in the layout you want to copy from...block the text to itself or other elements, then add it to your own custom layout CAD block library...

    open a new layout and select the blocks you want for it
