Setting up posts & Beams
In one drawing I need to set 4" round steel posts from ground to ceiling in rooms and 8" square wood posts from ceiling to roof. I would like assistance on how to do this.
I also have a laminated beam that is exposed (6.5" wide and 11"hi) on the ceiling between two walls. How can I set this up.
Thanks for the help folks.

Hi, welcome to this forum
have you already tried the basic shapes found in the Geometric Shapes library? I use this method from time to time, but it really depends on what you want to do with the objects later.
hint: first just place the library object in the drawing, then open the Edit dialog box and then set all the options you need. You may also drag the handles to get the desired size.Matt

I haven't viewed it, but I think Louis may have created a tutorial online regarding this. It can be found here.
