Adding exterior details

Hi,

I have Chief Architect 8.0. I'm having a hard time doing the following 2 things:

1. How do I add details to the exterior such as arches over columns in mediterranean style homes?

2. How do I add fencing around a flat roof or on the roof of a garage.

I can go into CAD mode and add cad details but they do not show up on the 3-d views and they are not 3 dimensional.
