10.02a
Just checked the updates Web page at ART and found that version 10.02a has been posted.
It says: "Several issues in the 10.02 update that were not in Version 10.01a have been resolved. One had to do with roof textures in raytrace views and another resulted in a program crash."Don

I saw a post in chat that said this update is buggy?
Anyone have more info?

I can't get it to load. Might just be the way I'm holding my tongue, but it comes up with the old error we used to get when the version being updated was incorrect. This is even though all patches these days work on any dot (and alpha) release.
I even tried it on the version from the install CD, but no good.

Be sure chief is not running, hold your tongue to the upper left side of your mouth, and close one eye half way - should take about 39 seconds to patch.

In my case I copied the 10.02a .exe file from the PC to the laptop and it seems to run OK on the laptop.

I was updating from 10.01a. Hmm, I'll try again.
Thanks all.

Put the update in the chief directory, run if from there and see if that helps.

Thanks Loius - tried that first, but no better. Don't worry - if I'm the only one then I'll just work through it - process of elimination.

Well, that's odd. I was OK upgrading to 10.01a, but can't get this patch to work.
Would someone be able to post the four patches for 10 Full for me please, so I can load each one and eliminate the obvious? Alternatively, email please to tony@regisdesign.co.nz and let the forum know that it's been done?
Sorry to be a pest on this, as I usually have 100% success patching. Bit embaressing really...

out of curiosity, i put the backup Chief.exe file from the cd on my system and tried to patch it...no go from there or 10.01a...I had to bring it up to v10.02 before the 10.02a patch would run
the patch for 10.02 is still on the site:
