The stairs snap together without the need for a "platform".

Just keep the sections the same width, and the joining tread parallel - if needed by selecting the edge, then the parallel tool on the menu bar and the edge you to which you wish to align. Push the stair section together. Click on the stair section to display the red handles. When you get the black double arrow over the red handle at the joint, a click will snap the stair sections together.

It works for me in imperial, but not in metric. I have to wait until after the rendering (mark III) before testing why metric version doesn't work.....

Corner Winder Tutorial by Louis the Great

    Hi Louis

.....Here is a tutorial showing how to do a corner winder.
    Corner Winder
Clap, clap, clap! Thanks for the great tutorial! I always knew that the answer is just a few mouse clicks away - when one gets to know how to use the package and which buttons to push (once I find them).

There are always bugs in software regardless who write them. But my belief, using "normal" operations intended and tested by the programmers will stop the programme crashing.
