Those appear to be both interior walls.

I don't get a temporary on the inside of an exterior wall.

Now I see your dilemma, that is undesirable/inconsistent behaviour

I think that's a general bug in X1. I'll get back to you on that one.

I'm getting both - sometimes an interior wall will temp dimension to the interior of an exterior wall, sometimes to the exterior. These are both 'room definition' as well as 'no room definition' interior walls - no apparent correlation.

I am getting inconsistent dimension line behavior exactly as Louis is experiencing. I cannot get a locate on the interior side of an exterior wall.

After investigating the issue, I've logged a report. I've achieved a new level of understanding Dimension Defaults as well.

Hopefully we can get this squared away for 11.

Temporary dimensions worked great in Version 11.3. We want it back.

Actually we got a lot flak over temp dimensions since 11 was released.

I've addressed the "interior" issue. It should be released in the next available update.

EDIT: If anyone has noticed anything else besides not locating the interior of exterior walls, please let us know. I started a thread earlier with the hopes of collecting any other feedback for the interior setting for temp dims: http://www.chieftalk.com/showthread.php?t=33538
