Test....able to attach a gif.
Ok, It looks like it works for gif, bmp, maybe others. I had been trying jpg's, so no wonder I was confused. I had rather be able to attach jpg's though. Exporting bmp's from CA are too large and it won't export gif's.
Test ;)

I tried a png and it did not work.
I will never use Norton again for the same reasons Tim expressed.

Jpegs appear to upload somewhere but the upload screen then goes blank and no reference to the image is shown as was the case with the .gif above and the images Tim has been able to record.

I think there is a setting in vBulletin that is not set correctly...
This software works great on other forums...
EDIT: Just looked at my other forum and see they are using vBulletin Version 3.0.1
I agree that JPEGs are the best format for posting.
With PhotoShop and the "save for web" option you can make them amazingly small.
Hey the smilies are back now... :)
EDIT: Opps now they are gone again...

This is a .jpg test.Attachment 4305

No It Wasn't
I fibbed - that was a .gif file, not a .jpg. I think I will go back and try the .jpg again if I can get it under 100 kb.

Hmmmm... just uploads to that blank window??

I noticed that there is a Max Height & Max width that are blank.
Is it possible that some of our pics have exceeded a certain unknown size?
Using FireFox or IE6 I get the same results, the blank window.

JPG will not work! Here is another .gif test.Attachment 4309

These gifs were done using paint. Obviously my "painter" needs to get another job as "his" choices of colors aren't what was specified. Thanks to everyones' imput on this - I too get a blank screen with .jpg's - but at least I know how to post a picture with .gif's the next time I need help on something, or am trying to help someone else. By the way, how do you capture what is on the CA screen for doing a post here?
