Experimenting with shaded elevations with shadows
I'm playing around with shaded elevations with shadows...i'm basically doing it the same way as many have described here before:
Basically, overlaying a render:final view with shadows over/under a basic vector elevation sent to layout to 1/4 scale, then re-sizing the image to match the vector view and positioning correctly...it works pretty good, and i usually increase the brightness of image by 30% or more, to sort of "wash" it out, but so you can see the shadows, etc...
I'm printing b&w so i'm not worried about color, but i do like the look of the greyscale shading and shadows, but here is my question:
What determines the resolution of the render view that i send to the layout? My screen resolution? I'd like to increase the resolution of the image so when i blow it up to match a 1/4" scale vector view on layout, it doesnt start to pixelate as much like i'm seeing now.
My monitor setting is at 1280 x 1024 if that makes a difference.
Any ideas or advice? Thanks
