Landscape rendering...
I wanted to get some ideas of how other chief users address photo issues when rendering their homes. For instance, if you use a backdrop in chief and then create a landscape perimeter to add plants, hardscape etc theres a line where the perimeter ends and the photo backdrop begins. Im interested to hear how most of you address this, do you just fill it in with plants, fences or do you use premade plant blocks in this space to cover this? Heres an example of one that I havent finished yet of what Im talking about.
Thanks!

Typically I use backdrops that don't have a horizon, like some found in the forest or sky section. On occasion I will use the billboard tool if the project has a particularly unique or interesting view. We have quite a few lakefront clients that like to have their view represented in the renderings.

Mark, thanks for posting some examples. Both were really good ideas I havent thought about using before. I really like the inside picture using the backdrop as the scene. I think the flat no horizon example would be great but where Im located its so full of mountains and hills on every vantage point it wouldnt be as realistic as in the midwest where things are more flat. I guess if it makes for a better rendering it doesnt matter. Thanks for sharing, I will put these two examples to some thought on my next round of renderings.

I use a fence most of the time.

Joey, your fences look really good. I will try this out next time around.
