PORTABLE LAPTOP Stand
I am looking for suggestions to purchase a portable laptop stand that is easy to assemble, easy to move around on job site, which is easy to assemble and disassemble and stored. I am looking for something to be able to take my laptop to a jobsite and do all my preliminary drawings for addition of the existing building instead of having to write and draw by hand on a piece of paper then bring it back to the office and draw it.
Any suggestion would be great, all good and bad experiences welcome

Ray:
I used a lightweight folding tv dinner tray
problem is they are "unstable" and I always worried about tipping over
especially out in the yard
I mainly used it to hold Disto and tape and paper pad etc

Maybe some way to hang it on your neck might work, like a camera strap. This is a major problem as we all only have 2 hands.

I do what Lew does. My table is 26" wide and 18" deep. I bought it at Lowe's. Works great. Easy to set up.

Dan Baumann used to sell a laptop stand for precisely this purpose. I tried to access his website (www.chiefexperts.com) to see if he still did, but seems like it has some problems right now.

Have you ever been to a baseball game and seen the drink vendors? A modification of their rig might work nicely. The cigarette vending ladies in old black and white movies also comes to mind. Mobility and hands free is the key-BB
