Ceiling Plane-Bug?
...To those interested in the Materials List.
Did you know that if you draw a Ceiling Plane it will increase your Roofing Materials in the Materials List? Extra Sheathing,Roofing,Metal Edge, Downspouts, etc....Could be my lack of understanding how the Ceiling Plane works, but if anyone cares to test this, let me know and I'll file a report if you get the same results. If not, I'd better locate my manual! Thanks

That's news to me. I don't see how adding those items to the roofing materials list is pertinent to adding a dropped ceiling.

Me either Adam. I feel like I'm doing something wrong with the ceiling plane and need to get back in the right track. Thanks for your reply.

As usual, you're not alone!

I have just tried this again and the Ceiling Plane that I place in a room where the Ceiling has been removed, is figuring Roofing Materials and placing the joists at 24" OC, but are set at 16". Does not figure any Ceiling Material such as 1/2" Sheetrock. It's like the Ceiling Plane is actually a Roof Plane. Also, you use the Roof Framing Tab to build the Ceiling Plane. Can anyone else verify this? Thanks:)

Ceilings have other bugs too. For instance dormers don't cut holes in a ceiling plane. If you add a dormer to a room, all you'll see is the ceiling from inside.
