So what s the answer Lew, what is the average elevation I Should use. Let me see, I have asked you this same question 4 times and you have not given me an answer. I will not download you plan until i get an answer .

This is all over my head Scott, or I would help you with your test. I see you are getting nowhere and very quickly.
I feel in this particular situation Lew does not know what he is talking about (let's cut to the chase).
Scott:
look at my plans before you say that
Lew
Scott:
there is NO average elevation to be entered !!!
I set the Pad elevation to 20'
if you can enter an average elevation then you need to post your plan so I can see how you are doing
BTW: can the attitude - its not appreciated at all :(
Lew
Much ado about nothing...
DJP
ooopps - shame on me!!!
On my previous comment about contours, I was Looking at contour feet vs inches. Changing the Units to inches to match the elevation planes gives the right result.
The contours are correct on Lews Plan.
Chief is correct to within a few in on Lews plan - Keep in mind that smoothing may be responsible for a inch or two.
I do think that Chief may be confused as to the definition of average elevation, center point and centroid. They should further define this
(Joe's repeated comments) .
BUT any variation is only off by a few inches.
In the scheme ( could be more accurate) of things this is a non-issue.
Lew, what do you mean no average, isn't that what Doug referred to? A few posts back you said we could not change the TP, then you said you put it at zero, and now you say you set it at 20'. Lew, I posted a picture of what I would like to see, can't you post a picture of what you did. 20£ says your plan view is wrong.
You want me to can the attitude, well please stay on topic, if you have any questions go back to post #1. Post #1 has two requests, nobody has addressed the tasks. That is the point of he thread, post #1, two requests, easy peasy.
A few posts back you said we could not change the TP, then you said you put it at zero, and now you say you set it at 20'
Scott:
that is correct the TP elevation is 0" and will always be at 0"
I changed the "pad elevation" which controls the HOUSE - not the terrain
I said this before and I said it again.....
the ONLY way to change the terrain elevations is to ADD elevation data, such as regions and then change them as needed
so calm down, read carefully, and try to be respectful
If you continue to be disrespectful then I will be done with this thread
Lew
What is TP, top terrain perimeter or top of pad?
There is no average--just pad elevation
I got 236" pad elev.
But I do know I did not use same numbers as Perry. I am not saying your plan is wrong, can't see, (on iPad), again the point of the thread.
Btw perry, thanks for posting pix, not really that difficult.
Scott:
how do I get the contour #'s large enough to read so I can post a pic ???
my contours match yours exactly
I have also attached the challenge plan with the foundation built
I never noticed that when using auto-calc that chief displays/updates the
"Pad elevation"
Thus, I have attached pics showing the "pad elevation" without a foundation as I posted in my first plan earlier today
and a pic of the "pad elevation" with a foundation as in this latest plan
time to head to the funeral (friend's cousin)
