Not sure about the glowing orbs.
I would place some "Added Light Sources" outside your building by about 8', and 10' apart, uncheck "Auto Intensity", and move the intensity up to about 80%. Do some quick raytraces first to see how bright they show up.
by added light sources do you mean light poles, exterior building mounted wall lights, etc?
ill try that
No, not at all.
Go to "3D>Lighting>Add Lights". Here you are adding 'invisible' light sources. They are not attached to any particular fixture, they are just for lighting your scene to get a better raytrace.
for exteriors you aslo need to "hassle" with setting the sun angle the time of year and day, maybe set the longitude and latitude
Lew
Good point Lew.
Steve, close the render camera view, go to plan, draw a north pointer, draw a sun anlge, then rotate the north pointer until the sun angle is pointing at the side of the building you are raytracing. That will brighten that side of the building imensely.
Also, if you rotate the sun angle, you have to do it with the camera closed, because an open camera will not update the sun angle.
ok so ia dded some light sources, 80% intensity and this is what i get.
glow seems to be gone, that black portal should be blue so the colors are off for some reason, still a bit of a glow i guess.....further suggestions?
Thanks!!
ok added sun angle, tracing now
so the sun angle seem to be helping, but the portal is still black....
