David, we are just having fun, I think everybody needs and wants a little levity once in a while. We are all here to help out the new and old users and I hope everybody realizes this.

Not for a new person making their first plea for help!
It is not justifiable or warranted in such a case, never!
I can see the difference between levity with old-timers, humor is valuable and does have an important place in Human activity but intelligence and sensitivity are also good mature, Human behavior especially with newcomers.
Making fun of someone is not and never will be "help" no matter the intent.
This is first and foremost a Help Forum and not an amateur Comedy Central for Chief Architect Inc Software users.

Lighten up, Francis
Perry,
I appreciate you and your tendency to humor as I do others but I will not "lighten up" when it is unnecessarily aimed at a new person making their first post.
It is and never will be "OK" with me when help is answered with being critical of how they posted.
It is not funny and it is not helpful as this forum and its people should be helpful first and comedians second.

FWIW
I agree with David
keep the fun among those you know....

Thanks for the lecture daddy.
Andy.
Any time.

It might be instructive to note that the OP asked for help, and was immediately asked for more information. After NINE days, the OP still had not responded -- in any manner whatsoever. There was no humor posted during this time. To me, this is just plain rude, and obviates any outrage that DJP may be trying to engender for this particular case.
Richard:
you have a point about OP's that don't respond
however, David's point about help versus jokes is also valid
